What Is MLM? MLM, which stands for multi-level marketing, is also known as network marketing and sometimes as viral marketing. It is a system of business in which a company utilizes large numbers of independent contractors to sell its products. The independent contractors are usually part-time, income opportunity seekers. The MLM system has chosen word-of-mouth advertising over regular media advertising and public relations.

Many people sign up for MLM hoping for easy part-time income. They often start working with much enthusiasm but little training, if any. Soon they discover that MLM income is not easy.

Those who want to be serious will take needed training before they start working, and they will diligently apply what they learnt. Such serious MLM participants earn very large incomes, depending on their Reward Account, their degree of diligence, the MLM company’s compensation plan, and how compelling the products are. WeMSA Success System helps to keep your Reward Account in top condition; Automatic WeMSSor has a superior compensation plan, provides FREE training, and supplies a very compelling product.

25 .MLM. ITEMS

On this page, we present 25 terms and ideas employed in MLM. These 25 are listed in alphabetical order; some appear more than once in order to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for. As an example, “Payment Plan” and “Compensation Plan” appear as two separate items though their meaning is the same.
.

1. Access Fee: Also known as Internet Fee or Maintenance Fee. This is the monthly fee that MLM companies charge the MLM participant for online access to the account and business details of the MLM participant. Such fees help the company to cover the cost of its business, but the fee also increases the overhead of participants. If a participant fails (or is unable) to pay this fee, the MLM company can suspend or cancel the participant’s account. Automatic WeMSSor does not charge any access fee.
.
2. Active/Inactive: An MLM participant is “active” if he or she does a certain minimum volume of business set by the MLM company. The participant is “inactive” if he or she fails to do the required minimum volume of business. The income generated by the organization of an inactive participant is automatically and permanently cancelled by the MLM company. It could amount to hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.
.

3. Bonus Pool: This is the part of the “pay-out” (see below) set aside by some MLM companies and distributed from time to time to its “top producers” (see below). Recipients of bonuses are thus encouraged to continue their high level of performance; others are induced to work harder in order to earn a share.
. .

 4. Business Opportunity Meeting: Also known as “Opportunity Meeting”, “Biz Op”, or “Sponsorship Meeting”. This is the formal meeting in which the MLM company’s business is introduced to newcomers. Participants are instructed by MLM companies to bring their guests to such meetings so that more experienced participants can explain the opportunity to guests. Participants who bring guests to such meetings are generally required to contribute money to cover the cost of the meeting space, usually in a hotel. This expense adds to a participant’s overhead. Automatic WeMSSor does not hold Business Opportunity meetings because you don’t need them.
o
5. Commission: Also known as Compensation. This is the fee paid by the MLM company to its MLM participants for the business done by the participants. In Automatic WeMSSor, we call it the WeMSSor Fee.
.

6. Commissionable Value: Also known as the “Pay-Out”. This is the portion of the price of the MLM company’s product that is distributed to participants. In Automatic WeMSSor, it is 30% of the price of the CD and 20% of the WeMSA LIFE Class fee.
o

7. Compensation Plan: Also known as Payment Plan or Pay Plan. This is the schedule of payments established by an MLM company for the compensation of its participants. In Automatic WeMSSor the payment plan is structured to generate very large incomes for people who build a deep organization. Therefore it favors those who start early, take the FREE Training, apply what they learnt, and build quickly.
o

8. Convention, Regional or National: These are one- or two-day meetings at which MLM companies and their top participants gather to motivate and energize other participants who attend. The convention is “Regional” when it is organized for a region of a country, and “National” when it is organized for the whole country. A convention can even be “International” or “World” when participants from other countries are included. Conventions are strongly and enthusiastically promoted to the company’s MLM participants, sometimes by tempting the participants with promises of clearly unrealistic results.

Conventions require participants to take time off from their full-time employment, or commit their weekends, in order to participate. The cost of conventions includes travel, hotel, and meals away from home. Such costs add to the overhead of the usual MLM participant. High overhead is one of the main reasons why the vast majority of MLM participants make less than one hundred dollars a year, and a huge percentage of participants make no money at all. Automatic WeMSSor has no conventions of any kind.
.

9. Downline: Your “downline” is a person or persons who signed up for an MLM through your business efforts. The downline persons you invited directly are your “directs”, and the ones invited by your directs and their directs are your “indirects”. The sign-up document of your directs must have your identification number on it. Automatic WeMSSor encourages you to maintain 5 to 10 directs, replacing those who drop out. You should choose a number (of directs) that you are willing and able to assist to maintain their own directs.
.

10. Inactive/Active: An MLM participant is “active” if he or she does a certain minimum volume of business, which is set by the MLM company. The participant is “inactive” if he or she fails to do the required minimum volume of business. The income generated by the organization of an inactive participant is automatically and permanently cancelled by the MLM company. The cancelled income could amount to hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.
.

11. Internet Fee: Also known as Access Fee or Maintenance Fee. Automatic WeMSSor does not charge any Internet fee.
.

12. Level/Levels: Level in MLM means a generation of participants. The participants that you sign up directly are your first generation of participants. They are known as your “first level” or your “level-one”. The participants your level-ones sign up are your “second level” or your “level-two”, and so on. In Automatic WeMSSor you get paid on 12 active levels, so it can be said that Automatic WeMSSor's payment plan is “12 active levels deep”. Please see “active” in Item 2, above.
.

13. Maintenance Fee: Also known as Access Fee or Internet Fee. Automatic WeMSSor does not charge any maintenance or access fee.
.

14. Minimum Monthly Volume: This is a minimum volume of business that an MLM participant is required to do every month in order to be in an “active” status. The volume is set by the MLM company to encourage the participants to work harder. The participant is “inactive” if he or she fails to do the required minimum volume of business. The income generated by the organization of an inactive MLM participant is automatically and permanently cancelled by the MLM company. The cancelled income could amount to hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.

The minimum monthly volume would be easy to achieve if the MLM company’s product is easy to sell; it would be difficult to achieve if the product is hard to sell. Automatic WeMSSor’s product, which is WeMSA Success System, is easy to sell.

In Automatic WeMSSor, the minimum monthly volume is (a) to sell 1 CD a month, and (b) attend one WeMSA LIFE Class a week. As you know, every person who wants to continue and increase his or her success as taught by the Teacher in the WeMSA Success System, needs to attend one WeMSA LIFE Class each week, whether or not they are in Automatic WeMSSor.

Note also that you expand your Automatic WeMSSor downline whenever someone buys CD No. 1001 through you. This is because the buyer automatically joins your downline. WeMSA Success System (and you) will next encourage the buyer to listen to the CD and apply what it teaches. The buyer will get more success in everything he or she does, guaranteed. WeMSA Success System (and you) will then encourage him or her to become active in Automatic WeMSSor and thereby earn an easy part-time income.
.

15. Opportunity Meeting: Also known as an “Business Opportunity Meeting”, “Biz Op”, or “Sponsorship Meeting”. Automatic WeMSSor does not hold Business Opportunity meetings because you don’t need them.
o

16. Organization: The Organization in MLM is everyone within the levels on which the owner of the organization is paid by the MLM company. In Automatic WeMSSor, your organization is everybody within the 12 levels on which Automatic WeMSSor pays you.
o

17. Pay-Period: This is the period at the end of which payment is made to participants on the volume of business completed during the period. In Automatic WeMSSor, the pay-period is 3 months, and your WeMSSor Fees are paid to you on last day of January, April, July, and October for the pay-period that ended on the last day of December, March, June, and September, respectively.
o

18. Pay-Out, The: Also known as the “Commissionable Value”. This is the portion of the price of the MLM company’s product that is distributed to participants. In Automatic WeMSSor it is 30% of the price of the CD and 20% of the WeMSA LIFE Class fee.
.

19. Payment Plan: Also known as Compensation Plan or Pay Plan. This is the schedule of payments established by a MLM company for the compensation of its participants. In Automatic WeMSSor, the payment plan is structured to generate very large incomes for people with a deep organization. Therefore it favors those who start early, take the FREE Training, apply what they learnt, and build quickly.
o

20. Participant: Also known as Distributor. A Participant is a person who works as an independent contractor with an MLM company. Automatic WeMSSor prefers the name participant to distributor. A participant is not an employee of the MLM company.
o

21. Phone-in Teleconference: This is a telephone conference in which a participant invites members of his or her organization to telephone a certain number at an appointed time in order to attend a telephone-based business meeting. At such meetings, the convener makes announcements and tries to motivate and encourage the organization.

The phone-in conference may also be arranged by the MLM company to achieve similar objectives for all of the company’s MLM participants.
.

22. Ranks and Titles: MLM companies usually establish organization and performance levels, and when participants achieve those levels, the participants are honored with the ranks and titles. This system encourages participants and gives them a significant boost in their efforts to build an even larger organization. Because of this, you will sometimes hear that “Ms. or Mr. So-and-so has gone diamond.”
.

23. Teleconference, Phone-in: This is a telephone conference in which a participant invites members of his or her organization to telephone a certain number at an appointed time in order to attend a telephone-based business meeting. At such meetings, the convener makes announcements and tries to motivate and encourage the organization.

The phone-in conference may also be arranged by the MLM company to achieve similar objectives for all of the company’s MLM participants.
.

24. Top Producer: A top producer is an MLM participant who has built a very large organization and earns a very large income.
.

25. WeMSSor Fee: This is the fee paid by Automatic WeMSSor to its MLM participants for the business done by the participants. Other MLM companies refer to the fee as Compensation or Commission.
